Cyprus Foundations Administration General Director Prof. Dr. İbrahim Benter, pointing to the foundation properties in Covered Maraş, "What will happen to the orphans when the land transferred to the foundations to look after the orphans is given to someone else?" she asked.

Cyprus Foundations Administration General Director Prof. Dr. İbrahim Benter made statements about Covered Maraş by participating in the program called "This is Important", which was broadcast on BRT screens and prepared and presented by Levent Kutay.

Benter used the following statements, giving an example:

“If we gather in a room, say the President of the USA, the President of France, the President and the Queen of England, we will ask you a question, say the first thing that comes to your mind. The question is: There is a 100-decare land in Maraş, which was leased to foundations to look after orphans. This has been done for 300 years… Do you approve of removing this land from foundation property and giving it to a person?

This man has hotels in England, in the south of France, let him build another one in Maraş… He has 9 hotels, let's say 10; He has 10 million Euros in the bank, let him have 11 million Euros. What will happen to these orphans? Would you believe that any President or any human would say yes to that?”

"THIS IS A HUMAN CRIME"

prof. Dr. Benter, after the example he gave, said, “We are not aware of the seriousness of the issue we are discussing. What person would accept such a thing? This is a crime against humanity,” he said.

İbrahim Benter said, "Orphans will come and ask, 'We used to get money from the rent of this place every month, what happened to our rents?' We gave Lordos to build another hotel, so that tourists can come and get rich…"
