Another addition to the escalating provocations against places of worship in recent years has occurred. An unfortunate attack has been carried out on the Albanian Mosque located in the Limassol region of Southern Cyprus.

In the attack that took place a few days ago, the mosque and its courtyard walls were vandalized with inscriptions.

As the Cyprus Foundation Administration (Evkaf), we are closely monitoring with concern the increasing attacks on Muslim places of worship in Southern Cyprus in recent years, and we vehemently condemn this ugly attack on the Albanian Mosque.

In all our endeavors, we respect every denomination without discrimination based on language, religion, or race, and we support all religious artifacts. We hope that the frequently encountered provocative attacks will come to an end soon and that those involved will be promptly identified by the relevant authorities.
