We pray for God's mercy upon the heroic forest workers who were martyred in the forest fire that started in Eskişehir and spread to Afyonkarahisar.
These selfless workers, who sacrificed their lives to protect our forests, our nature, and our future, will always live in the hearts of our nation. We offer our deepest condolences to their families, loved ones, and our entire nation, and we share their pain wholeheartedly. Their heroism has reminded us once again of the preciousness of greenery, nature, and life.
Similarly, we are deeply saddened by the forest fires that occurred in Southern Cyprus and affected vast areas. Every harm done to nature is a shared pain for all humanity, regardless of borders, religion, or nationality.
Preventing forest fires and protecting nature is our shared responsibility. To prevent such disasters from occurring again, we must act with awareness, solidarity, and a sense of responsibility.
We offer our condolences to those who lost their lives in all disasters that harm nature, human labor, and our living spaces, and offer our condolences and patience to those left behind.
It is our duty to protect every shade of green and leave a livable world for future generations.
