Alongside its contributions to the economic and social development of Cyprus, the Cyprus Evkaf Administration continues to support sports through Vakıflar Sports Club, which has been contributing to sports in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) since its establishment in 1985.

Founded to operate across various sporting disciplines, the club gradually focused particularly on volleyball, establishing a strong presence in the country’s volleyball scene with both women’s and men’s teams. Having achieved numerous successes over the years, Vakıflar Sports Club continues its efforts to support sports and young athletes.

The club recently held its Ordinary General Assembly, during which its new management team was elected for the upcoming term.

Following the election, Mehmet Kanan was elected President of Vakıflar Sports Club, while Erhan Soykut was elected Vice President.

During the General Assembly, appreciation plaques were also presented to Erhan Soykut and Şefik Erhun Işık in recognition of their many years of dedicated service to Vakıflar Sports Club.
