The Tomb of Pertev Pasha, One of the Pioneers of Charitable Activities in Cyprus, Continues to be Renovated

Turkish and English inscriptions were prepared for the Pertev Pasha Tomb, which was brought to the Covered Maraş region by the Cyprus Foundations Administration, to be presented to the public.

As it is known, Pertev Pasha, the Ottoman vizier, the Commander of the Navy from the conqueror of Cyprus, contributed to charity works with the income he obtained by establishing foundations in Maraş and many other regions after the conquest.

His tomb was located in an area used as a Muslim cemetery.

We commemorate Pertev Pasha, who set an example for us by guiding the civilization of kindness that was started 452 years ago, with mercy and gratitude.
