We commemorate Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, a great statesman and unparalleled commander who shaped history, with mercy, gratitude, and respect on the anniversary of his death.

Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, who closed one era and opened another with the conquest of Istanbul, is one of the cornerstones of our civilization not only with his military achievements but also with the foundations he established and the importance he placed on knowledge, education, and social solidarity. This legacy, which strengthened the concept of foundations and kept them alive with lasting works, has guided the social, cultural, and economic life of societies for centuries.

As the Cyprus Foundations Administration, we consider it our duty to keep this deeply rooted foundation tradition, entrusted to us by our ancestors, alive and to pass on the spirit of mutual assistance and solidarity to future generations.

On this occasion, we once again commemorate Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror with mercy and bow respectfully before his sacred memory.
