We have been following the recent developments regarding the Madleen Ship, which has been carrying hope to Gaza, with deep sorrow.

As the Cyprus Foundations Administration, we see it as a historical and moral responsibility to stand by people in need, with an understanding that prioritizes human values ​​above all else. For this reason, we are deeply shaken by the fact that the Madleen Ship, which set out for a peaceful purpose and was carrying aid supplies for children and patients, was stopped off the Mediterranean and the hope it carried was thwarted.

This development has targeted not only aid, but also the hopes of millions of people trying to access their basic rights to life. While we are witnessing once again the drama experienced by the people of Gaza, who do not have access to even the most basic needs, the wound in our consciences caused by not hearing this silent cry is growing every day.

As the Cyprus Foundations Administration, we respectfully announce to the public that we will continue to support such humanitarian efforts, that we will continue our responsibility to stand by people in difficult situations, and that we will always stand behind peaceful and conscientious initiatives.
