Cyprus Foundations Administration (EVKAF) continues to protect the history in Cyprus. The tomb of the late Mehmet Dana, the first mufti who has served Cyprus well, has been renovated by EVKAF.

MEHMET DANA'S BIOGRAPHY:

Mehmet Dana took an active role in the struggle for the transfer of Evkaf to the Turkish Cypriot community. A highly educated and cultured person, Dana spoke seven languages. After graduating from the Faculty of Theology in Turkey, he settled in Paphos and worked as a madrasah teacher there. Mehmet Dana, the first elected mufti of Turkish Cypriots, Dr. He participated in political talks with Fazıl Küçük as a clergyman in America. Mehmet Dana passed away on July 5, 1972.
