The memory of Birkan Uzun is kept alive with the scholarships provided by Evkaf
Birkan Uzun (educational) scholarship was given to 4 successful students by the Cyprus Foundations Administration (Evkaf) in order to keep alive the memory of Birkan Uzun, whose determination and success we are proud of, and who waved the Turkish flag in many places with the goal of "7 Continents 7 Summits" and to raise many Birkans.
Speaking at the ceremony, Evkaf General Manager Prof. Dr. İbrahim Benter said, “Birkan Uzun has become an exemplary young person by achieving great success in the best universities of the world and showing that everything can be achieved by working with determination. Thanks to this scholarship, which we provide in order to pass on the characteristics of Birkan to our future generations, we will be able to benefit more people by telling our youth about Birkan. Birkan, who is a role model for our youth, is a young man who, in addition to his academic achievements, did not only do sports, but thought about how he could benefit his country and nation, and successfully planted the Turkish flag on world summits.
