II. Built in 1829 by Ali Ruhi, who was the Governor of Cyprus during the reign of Mahmud, the first official library established in cooperation with the state-citizens and located in the Selimiye District of Nicosia, was partially renovated.

Painting and installation works of the library were undertaken by Evkaf and completed immediately.
