The "Emotion Recognition in Children (Managing Emotions, Not Suppressing Them)" training, conducted in collaboration with the Cyprus Evkaf Administration, the TRNC Ministry of Health Peace Mental and Nervous Diseases Hospital Preventive Mental Health Center, and the Prof. Dr. Mehmet Altınay and Günay Altınay Science, Education, Culture and Technology Foundation, has been completed.

The program, aimed at helping children recognize basic emotions such as happiness, sadness, fear, and anger, express their emotions in a healthy way, and develop emotion management skills, included practical and interactive activities led by psychologists.

Through activities with active participation from the children, emotional awareness, empathy, healthy communication, and self-expression skills were supported, and children were given the opportunity to reinforce what they learned by applying it.

The program highlighted the importance of children's ability to recognize and express their emotions in a healthy way for their lifelong mental health and social development. The message "Every emotion is valuable, and recognizing our emotions makes us stronger individuals" was emphasized.

At the end of the program, children were presented with certificates of participation and various gifts.

The Cyprus Evkaf Administration continues to support projects that promote the social and emotional development of children and contribute to the benefit of society through inter-institutional collaborations.
