Comprehensive restoration works initiated in 2019 continue in Selimiye Mosque, one of the most important historical works of monumental value in Cyprus. Selimiye Mosque, which has undergone the first and most comprehensive restoration work in its history, is regaining its magnificent structure. Within the scope of the "Execution of Restoration Works of Foundation Cultural Properties in TRNC" agreement, the restoration works carried out by the General Directorate of Foundations of the Republic of Turkey, in cooperation with our Administration, were examined on-site by the management of the Cyprus Foundations Administration (Evkaf). The technical delegation and the scientific committee talked about the restoration works with the General Director of Foundations, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer made a presentation to Chairman of the Board of Directors Selahaddin Bayırkan and other board members. After the presentation, the technical delegation showed the Evkaf management around the restoration area and gave detailed information about the work done.
