Adnan Menderes, who won hearts with his commitment to the will of the nation, his development initiatives, and the values he brought to his country, also brought the just cause of the Turkish Cypriot people to the world from the UN platform, and strengthened the Turkish presence on the island with financial, moral, educational, and infrastructure support. In particular, the 1960 Guarantee and Alliance Treaties he signed provided a historical guarantee for the security of the Turkish Cypriots.
On this meaningful day, when we once again emphasize the importance of social unity, national will, and democratic values, we remember with reverence the late Adnan Menderes and all our statesmen who fought great battles for both Türkiye's democracy and the freedom of the Turkish Cypriots.
