Mustafa Pasha Mosque (Three Martyrs Mosque)

It is known as Mustafa Pasha Mosque and Three Martyrs Mosque. The mosque is located in Famagusta, built with cut stones in semi-gothic style and dates back to the 16th century AD. It is a small building dating back to the century. After the mihrab and pulpit were added during the Ottoman period of Cyprus, it was opened to worship as a mosque under the name of Mustafa Pasha.

During the British Colonial period, Turkish prisoners who were captured on the Çanakkale, Hejaz and Suez Canal fronts and kept in the Karakol Prisoner Camp in Famagusta were visited on Fridays, and the prisoners were brought here with chains on their feet, and for this reason, at that time and even later, it was called the "Prisoners' Mosque". It is said to be known as the "Masjid of the Prisoners".

In the front courtyard at the northern entrance of the mosque, there are three graves side by side, known as "Three Martyrs" and "Three Brothers". It is believed that these graves belong to Ottoman soldiers or three brothers who were martyred during the conquest of Famagusta in 1571.
