Iplik Bazaar Mosque
It is located on İplik Pazarı street in Nicosia Surlariçi region.
It is a small building with a plain appearance. Although the narthex is made of smooth cut stone, other parts of it are made of roughly cut yellow stone.
There are two inscriptions dated H.1241 and H.1316 on the entrance door of the arched mosque located in the narthex. The inscription above, which is newer, mentions Muhammed Sadik Bey, one of the members of the Evkaf executive committee, and it is stated that he did many charity works such as fountains and mosques. It is stated that he later demolished and expanded this mosque and built it for the second time.
The mihrab, which is decorated with rosettes and various plant motifs, has a beautiful woodwork.
The minaret with a single balcony, cylindrical body and knitted stone cone is located to the east of the mosque. It is remarkable as it is one of the few minarets with masonry cones in Cyprus.
