This year, we are proud to celebrate the 454th anniversary of the foundation of the Cyprus Foundations Administration, which has served the people of Cyprus for centuries and has left a deep mark on the social, cultural and economic fabric of the society. At the same time, we have reached the 69th year since the transfer of foundation assets and management from the British Colonial Administration to the Turkish Cypriot community.

The foundation civilization is one of the most beautiful examples of solidarity, sharing and social responsibility. The foundations established in Cyprus since the Ottoman period have provided services in a wide range of areas for centuries, from education to health, from protecting the poor to maintaining religious structures.

With the British Colonial Administration taking over the island in 1878, foundation assets in Cyprus also faced long years of neglect and mismanagement. However, in 1956, as a result of the struggles, the foundation administration was taken from the British administration and given to the control of the Turkish Cypriot community, and it regained its original mission.

Today, the Cyprus Foundations Administration continues its work with the strength it derives from its roots and with an understanding that is in line with the requirements of the age, while preserving its historical heritage, it also sheds light on the future. Our institution, which combines the foundation approach with a modern vision through education, social assistance, culture-art and restoration projects, continues to build a bridge between the past and the future.

On this meaningful anniversary, we respectfully and gratefully commemorate the founders of the Cyprus Foundations Administration, its hardworking managers and all the philanthropists who keep the foundation spirit alive; we express once again that we will continue to progress with determination on the path of service to our society.

The Foundation is the legacy of the past and the guarantee of the future.
