İbrahim Benter, General Manager of the Cyprus Foundations Administration, stated that one of the most important aims of the foundations is to accustom the youth to doing good, and said, "It is within us to do good. We need to bring it out with practice. We aim to accustom our youth to charity activities."

"WE AIM TO EDUCATE YOUTH TO DO GOODNESS"

İbrahim Benter, General Manager of the Foundations Administration, stated that one of the most important aims of the foundations is to accustom the youth to doing good. Benter underlined that the sense of goodness provides gain to people.

Benter stated that they undersigned important projects because there are good people around him and said, “We have come to this point by working with many benevolent people from Ömer Suay, Oya Holly, Bahire Doğru, Nurçin İncirli. The work we do is a team work. If it was just up to me, I wouldn't be able to do anything,” he thanked his teammates.

"WE SET OUT WITH THE THINK OF 'DO GOODNESS' WITHOUT EXPECTING RETURN"

Talking about the idea of ​​the Goodness Volunteers Project, Benter said that they set out with the idea of ​​"do good without expecting anything in return". Benter stated that they are trying to instill kindness in young people.

Noting that 2,200 foundations were established on the island of Cyprus, Benter said, “Our ancestors understood and applied the idea of ​​goodness very well. He wasn't selfish. We have a grandmother, 'I have 3 shops. I will leave the two of them to my children and dedicate one of them. With the income of that shop, we still give scholarships to children today," he said.

"WE SHOULD DEVELOP OUR EMPATHY"

Stating that the young people who participate in some projects carried out by the Kindness Volunteers want to come again and again, Benter said, "Because we have the power to do good," and emphasized that it is necessary to bring out goodness through practice, and that Kindness Volunteers takes this as their mission. Benter stated that it is necessary to acquire and develop empathy.

Talking about the employment of people with disabilities, Benter showed that individuals with disabilities working in foundations work with determination and said, “Based on our experience, I can say this to all institutions. When you recruit young people with disabilities, you should not think of giving them a salary as a favor. These young people will perform beyond your expectations” and said:

"THE MAIN OBSTACLE IS AT THOSE WHO DON'T DO THEIR DUTIES"

“I go to foundations around 06:30 every day. For example, Ömer arrives at 07:00, our other staff arrives around 08:00 or even later. I see incredible determination in the work these young people do. The real disabled people are those who sit in foundations or government offices all day and do not do their jobs, play games on the computer and do not fulfill their duties.”
