The Dükkanlarönü Mosque, which was the symbol of Nicosia in ancient times and became unusable after being demolished in the 1960s, was restored in accordance with its original and historical texture with the contributions of the Cyprus Foundations Administration (Evkaf).
Within the scope of the "Agreement on the Execution of the Restoration Works of the Foundation Cultural Assets Located in the TRNC", the mosque, which was renovated as a result of the works carried out by Evkaf and the General Directorate of Foundations of the Republic of Turkey, was put into the service of the people of the region in a way to meet the needs.
The Dükkanlarönü Mosque, which has been renovated thanks to the restoration works carried out, is of great importance in terms of the continuation of the works carried out for the protection and preservation of the cultural heritage in our country and the protection of the cultural richness of the city.
