The Historic Great Bath, located in the heart of Nicosia and an emblem of the city since the 16th century, is being prepared to reopen following a tender conducted by the Cyprus Evkaf Administration. 

Constructed between 1571 and 1590, the Great Bath stands out as one of the rare structures that have survived from the Ottoman period to the present day, with its dome adorned with stars and moons drawing additional attention. Following a comprehensive restoration led by the Cyprus Evkaf Administration between 2008 and 2010, the bathhouse has been preserved with its historical texture and function intact.

Scheduled to reopen its doors on June 1, 2024, the bathhouse will offer modern services to visitors while preserving its historical character and grandeur.
