When Vildan learned that Lütfi Efendi and his wife, whom he knew as his parents, were stepdaughters, Vildan felt strange:

-Am I not your child?

-No, my daughter… You were a child brought here during the war. Our state gives them to a family for the care and upbringing of children who were taken prisoner or orphaned during the war. You grew up as our daughter, too.

-Yes my daughter. We believe that everyone created by Allah should benefit from his blessings and we see everyone as his servant.

-You've grown up now. You have completed your education… Now it is your right to get married and have children, my child. Otherwise, this is always your home.
