Cyprus Foundations Administration has re-published the edited version of the Sharia Registry No. 1, which is in its archive and is known to have a privileged place in the history of Cyprus.

This book, which deals with the cases related to Cyprus that were transferred to the Ottoman justice system between 1580 and 1595, or the provisions related to the administration of the Island, was given by the General Director of the Cyprus Foundations Administration, Prof. Dr. With the support of İbrahim Benter, Prof. Dr. Prepared and reprinted by Soyalp Tamçelik and Mustafa Kemal Kasapoğlu.

The work, titled "Ser'iyye Register No. 1 (Hijri 988-1003 / Gregorian 1580-1595)", consists of 750 pages in total, a thousand.500 pages. With the addition of 24 tables and 28 maps prepared on the subject, the book sheds light on many issues such as the social, economic, legal and administrative structure of Cyprus during the Ottoman period, the location of settlements, the number of villages, the list of abandoned and surviving villages. In the book, which consists of two separate volumes, it is possible to reach a lot of information about the history of the Turkish Cypriot people and the island.

The second book of the series, "The Sharia Registry No. 2 (Hijri 1010-1018 / Gregorian 1601-1609)" is planned to be published very soon.

It is also aimed to send the book in English to many leading libraries, universities, cultural centers and research institutes in the world.
