Application for Aid

For scholarship applications, applications will be considered valid for the scholarship quotas available at NEU, EUL, and GAU, provided that all required documents are completed in full and submitted in person to the Assistance Unit of our institution between 1 August and 31 August of the relevant year.

Eligibility criteria that may increase the chances of receiving a scholarship include:

• The death of the applicant’s mother or father
• Insufficient family income or financial hardship
• A good or very good academic record and/or high school diploma grade, with a GPA above 2.00

Programs that are not included within the scholarship quota include Veterinary Medicine, Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and other programs that fall outside the scope of the scholarship scheme.

However, if students who were awarded scholarships in the previous year become academically unsuccessful, meaning their GPA falls below 2.00, and/or if they graduate, the available scholarship places will be reassessed and applications from new students may be considered.

• Certificate of residence (Original)
• Student certificate (Current date) (Original)
• Up-to-date transcript document to be obtained from the school
• Monthly payment plan from the school (Semesterly)
• Approved debt statement from the school, if any
• Payroll of the individuals working in the family
• Unemployment certificate for non-working adults (to be obtained from the Labour Department)
• High school diploma if newly enrolled in the university
• Official letter from the Dormitory Directorate stating the fee or debt for the persons who will stay in the dormitory
• An official letter stating the debt or fee of the institution for course fees
• Bank debt statement, if any
• All documents for which the original cannot be provided must be submitted as photocopies that closely resemble the original.
• Documents are not accepted via WhatsApp.
• The applicant is required to complete the form and all the questions on the form.
• The forms require the fields “Date” and “Signature” to be filled in.

• Certificate of residence (Original)
• Identity and Residence Person, Bank Name, Branch and Iban or Uban number belonging to that person
• Payroll of the individuals working in the family
• If any parent or individual is not working, an unemployment certificate for the person or persons who are not working from the Labour Department
• Residence permit or work permit document for persons who are Turkish citizens
• Bank debt statement, if any
• Debt bills if the need is for Electricity and Water (Current)
• If the Social Help Form is to be filled out for a person under the age of 18, the identity, residence and bank iban or uban number must be in the name of the parent, and the documents for the child’s needs must be attached as attachments.
• Individuals applying for rent must obtain a search report from the Land Registry Office, confirming ownership under their own name and, if married, including their spouse.
• All documents for which the original cannot be provided must be submitted as photocopies that closely resemble the original.
• Documents are not accepted via WhatsApp.

• Bank iban or uban number (the bank information must belong to the person whose identity and residence document belongs)
• Payroll of the individuals working in the family
• If any parent or individual is not working, an unemployment certificate for the person or persons who are not working from the Labour Department
• Up-to-date health documents for the health problem
• Board report, if any
• Prescription of permanently used medication
• If the person with a health problem receives a salary, his/her payslip
• In applications for treatment, a stamped (official) letter (signed) from the treating doctor, indicating the importance and duration of the treatment process, is required.
• If the treatment process includes the doctor’s identity and bank name, branch and iban and/or uban number
• If an application is to be made for a child under the age of 18, the identity, residence and bank information belong to the parent, and the child’s birth certificate and/or identity card are required in addition to the health reports.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR PEOPLE IN NEED OF SPECIAL EDUCATION

• ID card (on behalf of the parent)
• Certificate of residence (on behalf of the parent) (Original)
• Birth certificate or ID card of the child
• A letter (signed and stamped) from the school or institution where the individual is currently receiving or is planned to receive special education, including fee details.
• A doctor’s report indicating the child’s special condition (current) (signed and stamped)
• Mother’s and father’s payslip
• Unemployment certificate for non-working parents (to be obtained from the Labour Department)
• Bank name, branch, iban or uban number in the name of the special education school
• Bank debt statement, if any
• All documents for which the original cannot be provided must be submitted as photocopies that closely resemble the original.
