Piri Pasha Mosque, which has a three-arched meeting place and a cylindrical architecture made of cut stone, is also known as the Upper Mosque and the Minareli Mosque.

During the conquest of Cyprus by the Ottoman Empire between 1570 and 1571, Mehmet Bey, the grandson of Pir Pasha, one of the viziers of Suleiman the Magnificent, and the Banner of Paphos, saw this ruined mosque during his visit to Lefke, and his genealogy goes back to Hazrat Abu Bakr. He renovated the reverend mosque and named it after his grandfather.
