Speaking on a TV program he attended, İbrahim Benter, General Manager of the Cyprus Foundations Administration, made very important statements about history.

Benter said, "When we talk about history, we understand the history of wars. Let's talk about the history of medicine, music, and even the history of peace instead of the history of war. Let our children think about peace, not war." We need to change the way we think about history lessons taught in schools. We need to know the world's history of science, sciences. But we don't even know the contributions our own ancestors made to science.
