President of the Disabled Solidarity Association, Ömer Suay, spoke to the Cyprus Post after their visit to the Cyprus Foundations Administration.

"FOUNDATIONS ADMINISTRATION CONTRIBUTES TO SOCIAL STATE UNDERSTANDING"

Stating that the Foundations Administration contributes to the understanding of the social state with its contributions to disabled citizens, Suay said, "The foundations administration gives the needs of disabled citizens to the association. As an association, we deliver these needs to disabled citizens."

"STAFF WORKS ON THE LAW OF THE FOUNDATIONS ADMINISTRATION"

Pointing to the relevant disability law, Suay said that 1 out of every 25 employees should be disabled and said, "No one obeys the law." Suay, who stated that the Foundations Administration employs more disabled people than the number specified in the law, thanked the Foundations Administration.

"WE WANT THE FOUNDATIONS ADMINISTRATION TO SET A PRIME FOR OTHER INSTITUTIONS"

He also said that they want the Foundations Administration to employ people with disabilities to set a precedent for other institutions.
