The Cyprus Foundations Administration has completed its inspections by examining the mosques and cemeteries in the Limassol region on site. The inspections evaluated the status of important places of worship and cemeteries in the region.

The places visited included the Limassol Mosque (Kebir), Limassol Köprülü Mosque, Limassol Aşağı Binatlı Polemitya Mosque and Limassol Yukarı Binatlı Mosque. In addition, the Ottoman graves in the garden of the Camii Kebir and the graves in the garden of the Köprülü Mosque were carefully examined. The status of the Limassol Turkish Cemetery in the Binatlı region was also evaluated.

The aim of these inspections, which are of great importance in terms of protecting historical and cultural heritage, was to protect places of worship and cemeteries. It was reported that the necessary maintenance and repair work will be planned following the inspections.
