Cyprus Evkaf Administration and the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia Support Those in Need Before Ramadan

The General Directorate of Foundations of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey has sent 5,000 food packages to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus before the start of Ramadan.

Prepared in cooperation with the Cyprus Evkaf Administration and the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, these food packages will be distributed to pre-identified families in need throughout Ramadan, in coordination with relevant institutions.

In a statement regarding the matter, the General Director of the Cyprus Evkaf Administration, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer, said, “It is an important responsibility for us to stand by our families in need during Ramadan. We continue to deliver this understanding of kindness, entrusted to us by our foundation tradition, to the right people and at the right time.”

The aid packages, weighing approximately 19 kilograms and consisting of basic food products with a long shelf life, include flour, sunflower oil, legumes, pasta, rice, and products specific to Ramadan.
